The Agency has held a series of online consultation meetings with stakeholders working at national and regional levels in the Czech Republic. The meetings were part of the ‘Addressing Regional Disparities in the Czech Education System’ action to promote more inclusive and equitable learning opportunities for all learners in the Czech Republic. The Agency is implementing the action in co‑operation with the European Commission’s Directorate General for Structural Reform Support (DG REFORM), with the support of the European Union’s Structural Reform Support Programme (now the Technical Support Instrument – TSI).
Following a webinar presentation, the Agency team conducted four online interactive meetings during the week of 8–11 June 2021. The meetings aimed to collect stakeholder feedback on the key findings of the analysis work – documentary analysis and stakeholder data collection – and the draft recommendations for stakeholders in the Czech Republic. The team also launched a web-based survey (in Czech) to get additional feedback on the draft recommendations. The Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT) facilitated the online consultation meetings and the survey.
In total, 22 stakeholders had the opportunity to give detailed feedback on proposed recommendations in three in-depth focus group sessions. A fourth session collected feedback from the extended Steering Committee members and provided them with a summary of the feedback from the other sessions. The meeting participants included representatives from national authorities, national institutions, local and regional governments, universities and non-governmental organisations.
The Agency will use the feedback collected from the meetings and the online survey to prepare the final recommendations and priority actions that will be presented to the MŠMT and key stakeholders in July 2021.
