As part of its annual data collection work, the Agency has published new data for the 2021/2022 school year.
The European Agency Statistics on Inclusive Education (EASIE) activity informs country-level work on learners’ rights issues connected to equity and participation in inclusive education. The Agency publishes EASIE data annually for all participating member countries. The data is in line with strategic objectives set by international organisations active in the field of education, like the Council of the European Union and UNESCO.
EASIE data is presented in two tables. Table 1 provides data on access and placement of all children/learners in inclusive educational settings or otherwise. Table 2 focuses on children/learners with an official decision of special educational needs. In addition, descriptive, qualitative country background information gives a clear context to the data provided. To view a country’s data, select the country name from the list on the Data tables and background information page.
The ‘View Country Report’ button on each country’s page generates an individual country report. The tables in these reports show an agreed set of indicators on enrolment and identification rates, which are calculated from the data tables.
The Guide to the EASIE data tables and country background information contains a list of definitions used during the EASIE data collection and provides an overview of the data collection process. It describes the specific data required, the aims of the data and what the data is used for.
Data from 16 countries was published in July, with the remaining 17 countries published in September.
