The European Toolkit for Schools offers information and ideas to improve collaboration and to enable all learners to succeed in their education.
The Toolkit provides examples of best practice and materials to help school practitioners and education policy-makers to provide effective and high-quality education. Aimed at everyone involved in education – from policy-makers and school leaders, to teachers and parents – it presents resources, examples and research evidence from schools, universities, education ministries and other organisations from across Europe. The information is structured around five key areas: School governance; Teachers; Support to learners; Parental involvement; Stakeholders involvement.
The Toolkit provides detailed descriptions of each resource and its aims, and links to relevant websites and publications. The Agency’s Supporting Inclusive School Leadership (SISL), Raising the Achievement of All Learners in Inclusive Education (Raising Achievement) and Preventing School Failure (PSF) projects feature in the Toolkit.
In addition to information and resources, the Toolkit offers a self-assessment tool which enables school practitioners to reflect on the inclusive policies and practices in their schools. The self-assessment tool also offers suggested improvements based on the answers provided.
The Toolkit forms part of the European Commission’s School Education Gateway initiative, on online platform for all educational professionals which includes news, training courses and resources, including information about the Agency’s Inclusive Early Childhood Education project.
