The Agency is co-organising a webinar on stakeholder dialogue with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on 28 April.
The Agency’s 2021 Key Principles report identified encouraging dialogue between stakeholders as a key strategy to ensure inclusive policy implementation in education systems. UNESCO’s 2019 international forum in Cali, Colombia also highlighted the importance of strengthening dialogue between stakeholders in different countries.
These ideas will be brought together in the joint webinar, entitled ‘Towards a shared vision of inclusion in education: Fostering stakeholder dialogue on legislation and policy’. The webinar aims to promote stakeholder dialogue in legislation and policy by giving a platform to a range of stakeholders and decision-makers from different countries around the world. These include policy-makers, practitioners, learners and families.
The webinar will focus on stakeholder dialogue as an input to legislation and policy development, and as an on-going input to policy implementation. Each panel will present a current example from a European country, followed by a dialogue between panellists from other countries and regions who will share their own experiences and observations.
The webinar will take place on Zoom on Thursday 28 April, from 12:00–14:00 (CEST). It will be available in English, French, Spanish and International Sign Language. For more details, including the concept note and information on how to join the webinar, visit the webinar event page.
