On 30 November and 1 December, the Great Start in Life conference took place in Brussels. The event was co-organised by the Directorate-General for Education and Culture and the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission.
The conference brought together some 250 researchers, policy-makers, early childhood education and care and primary school practitioners. They discussed how to create the conditions for the best possible education in the early years.
The Agency was invited to set up a stand in the networking area and to present its latest project publications and the latest developments in the on-going project on Inclusive Early Childhood Education.
Through dialogue between researchers, policy-makers and practitioners, the conference aimed to strengthen networks and collaboration between education experts and professionals in Europe and reinforce commitment to evidence-based policy-making, including research and lessons learnt from practice.
