About:

A diverse range of associations in Germany is involved in preparing federal bills. These associations represent the specific interests of people with disabilities, parents, children, people from migrant backgrounds and more.

Outcomes:

The associations are consulted at key points of the process of developing legislation. Their voices are included and heard in the legislative process through formal hearings and dialogues.

Key element(s) of the VIA Framework:

This is a general example that does not refer to education decision-making in particular, but it reflects SPACE and AUDIENCE. The German federal government recognised a need to create a platform for high-need groups that are generally less visible in political processes.
